Allen Kolstad
Allen C. Kolstad (December 24, 1931 – August 2, 2008) was an American politician from Montana. A Republican Party (United States), Republican from Chester, Montana, Chester in Liberty County, Montana, he was prominent in state politics for more than 40 years, beginning in 1968 with his election to the Montana House of Representatives, state House of Representatives. He served in the state House and later the Montana Senate, Senate for 20 years until he was elected the 25th Lieutenant Governor of Montana on the Ticket (election), ticket headed by Stan Stephens in 1988. Kolstad ran unsuccessfully for 1990 United States Senate election in Montana, U.S. Senate in the 1990 election, losing to incumbent Democratic Party (United States), Democratic United States Senate, Senator Max Baucus. Öland (, ; ; sometimes written ''Oland'' internationally) is the second-largest Swedish island and the smallest of the traditional provinces of Sweden. Öland has an area of and is located in the Baltic Sea just off the coast of Småland. The island has over 26,000 inhabitants. It is separated from the mainland by the Kalmar Strait and connected to it by the Öland Bridge, which opened on 30 September 1972. Kolstad HÃ¥ndball is a Norwegian professional handball club based in Trondheim, that compete in top division of Norwegian handball, the REMA 1000-ligaen (men's handball), REMA 1000-ligaen. Their home grounds is the Kolstad Arena and Trondheim Spektrum, which has a seating capacity of 2,500 and 8,900 spectators. Per Atle Kolstad (born 25 April 1953 in Norway) is a Norwegian musician (piano & keyboards), known from the band Lava, Jonas Fjeld Band and Prima Vera, and has numerous recordings as a studio musician. Career Kolstad has collaborated with singers and musicians like Jan Groth, Odd Nordstoga, Olav Stedje, Steinar Albrigtsen, Marius Müller, Gry Jannicke Jarlum, Tor Endresen, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Finn Kalvik, Sissel Kyrkjebø and Alf Cranner. Dean Kolstad (born June 16, 1968) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was drafted in the second round, 33rd overall, by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He played forty games in the National Hockey League: thirty with the North Stars in the 1988–89 and 1990–91 seasons, and ten with the San Jose Sharks (who selected him in the 1991 NHL Dispersal Draft) in the 1992–93 season. Peder Kolstad
Peder Ludvik Kolstad (28 November 1878 – 5 March 1932) was a Norwegian politician from the Agrarian Party. He was the prime minister of Norway from 1931 until his death in 1932. Early life and education Born to a farmer's family in Borge, now part of Fredrikstad in Østfold county he got a degree from Kalnes school of agriculture in 1899 and a degree from the Agricultural University of Norway at Ås, Akershus county in 1902. He subsequently worked as teachers at agricultural schools in Asker, Akershus county and Nedenes, Aust-Agder county. Returning to Østfold and Kalnes school of agriculture in 1905, he became principal at the school in 1912. Lasse Kolstad
Lars "Lasse" Kolstad (10 January 1922 – 14 January 2012) was a Norwegian actor and singer. Active from the 1940s, he was known from many stage roles, but primarily as "Tevye" in ''Fiddler on the Roof''. As a secondary school student, Kolstad was president of the graduating class ('' russ'') council of his school, and eventually for all of Oslo. As this was in 1940, the German occupation of Norway put a damper on any great festivities that year. In 1943 he had his début at Trøndelag Teater, where he remained until 1949. He has later worked at Centralteatret, Edderkoppen, Riksteatret, Fjernsynsteatret og Det Norske Teatret. He has had roles in plays by Ibsen, Shakespeare and Sophocles, and musicals such as '' Zorba'' and ''The Threepenny Opera''.
