Koldo Case
The Koldo Case (Spanish: ''Caso Koldo'') or Ábalos Case (''Caso Ábalos''), is an ongoing corruption prosecution conducted by the Spanish Supreme Court that began on 28 February 2024. The case is centred around former transport minister José Luis Ábalos and his former advisor Koldo García Izaguirre. The case involves several political figures, primarily allies of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and was originally sparked by questions over the purchase of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Johannes Hahn (born 2 December 1957) is an Austrian politician who has served as European Commissioner for Budget and Administration under Ursula von der Leyen since 1 December 2019. 2023 Spanish Regional Elections
Regional elections were held in Spain during 2023 to elect the regional parliaments of twelve of the seventeen autonomous communities—Aragon, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla–La Mancha, Extremadura, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia, Navarre and the Valencian Community—and the two autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. 737 of 1,212 seats in the regional parliaments were up for election, as well as the 50 seats in the regional assemblies of the autonomous cities.
