The Kolchose is a group of Hip hop artists in the southern German city of Stuttgart. Freundeskreis
Freundeskreis (meaning "Circle of Friends") also known as FK, were a German hip hop group from Stuttgart. They performed songs in German, English, French and Esperanto. The members were Max Herre, Don Philippe and DJ Friction. They were a socially conscious German rap group that released three top twenty albums. History Freundeskreis Freundeskreis were primarily known for their political lyrics, in which they advocate equality and international understanding. After the much-noticed first album, '' Quadratur des Kreises (Squaring the Circle)'', and its hit single "A-N-N-A" which peaked at #6 in the German charts, the band released its second album, ''Esperanto'', named after the constructed language Esperanto. The reasoning for the name was that the group wished to show that they believe that hip hop should be the Esperanto of youth. Massive Töne
Massive Töne is one of the oldest German hip hop groups, founded 1991 in Stuttgart. The four founding members, Showi (Jean-Christoph Ritter), Ju (João dos Santos), Wasi (Wasi Ntuanoglu) and DJ 5ter Ton (''"DJ Fifth Note"'', Alexander Scheffel) all originated in Stuttgart's hip hop scene and modeled themselves at first on the American and French hip hop groups like Breakdance Soundtracks, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and Ultramagnetics, before they finally found their own style. In 1993 Massive Töne joined up with other hip-hop musicians, BBoys und Graffiti artists to form the ''Stuttgarter Kolchose''. Along with Massive Töne, the best known members were Afrob, Freundeskreis, DJ Thomilla and Breite Seite. From 1994 to 1995 Massive Töne appeared at most of the important hip-hop concerts, where they appeared alongside well-known hip-hop groups like Fettes Brot, Spax, Absolute Beginner, the Stieber Twins, and MC Rene.
