Kokone Hamada
, whose name means "Heart Sound" in Japanese, is a Vocaloid 3 vocal released by Internet Co., Ltd. Development Kokone's project began with the development a falsetto vocal for the Megpoid software. The trouble was matching all 50 Japanese phonetics from Gumi's normal vocal and her falsetto. The focus of the vocal would have been to extend GUMI's range beyond "F4" giving her the capabilities to reach the range "A3" in the Vocaloid software. Due issues with balancing the vocal with the normal vocals, it was dropped and instead focus turned to developing a vocal instead with Falsetto capabilities already built in. Kokone was the vocal that came from this and due to the extension of cover a falsetto vocal range, she had the largest optimum range of any single vocal for Vocaloid at the time of release. is a Vocaloid by Internet Co., Ltd. Her voice is sampled by Megumi Nakajima. The mascot of the software is called (stylized as GUMI). She is also sometimes called Megpoid GUMI, or GUMI Megpoid. The name "Gumi" is the voice provider Megumi Nakajima's nickname from her childhood. The software name, "Megpoid", was taken from the provider's name, "Megumi." Vocaloid
is a singing Speech synthesis, voice synthesizer software product. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project between Yamaha Corporation and the Music Technology Group at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. The software was ultimately developed into the commercial product "Vocaloid" that was released in 2004. The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody and also "speech" by typing in the script of the required words. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. Lily (music Software)
is a female vocal originally released for Vocaloid 2. The data for the voice was created by sampling the voice of Yuri Masuda, a Japanese vocalist of the Japanese musical group m.o.v.e. Development Lily originally appeared on the cover of the CD "anim.o.v.e. 01" released on Aug 19th, 2009 before the announcement of her VOCALOID development. Lily was introduced as "Code Name: Lily" on DTM MAGAZINE published in May, 2010. The voice source is the lead vocalist of m.o.v.e., Yuri Masuda. The idea of the developing a VOCALOID based on Yuri's voice occurred, as one of the members was a user of VOCALOID. is a vocal synthesizer application software program produced by Yamaha Corporation with i-style Project for the software Vocaloid 3. The voice was provided by a contest winner, Japanese actress Nako Eguchi. Aoki Lapis is named after the semi-precious gemstone Lapis lazuli. Development Aoki Lapis was introduced at the Comiket 80. It is part of a joint collaborative project between Japanese search engine site Surfer's Paradise, anime studio Studio DEEN, and Nico Nico Douga users, called "i-style Project." Merli was developed as the elder sister to Aoki Lapis. She is named after the stone "Merlinite", which was the chosen name out of many suggestions put forward by fans of Vocaloid.
