Kokarai
Kokarai ( Pashto: کوکارۍ) is an administrative unit, known as Union council or Wards in Tehsil Babuzai, of Swat District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Act 2013, the Swat District has 67 Wards, of which the total number of Village Councils is 170, and the number of Neighbourhood Councils is 44. Kokarai is Territorial Ward, which is further divided in four Village Councils: # Ashargarai (''Village Council'') # Jambil (''Village Council'') # Kokarai No. 1 (''Village Council'') # Kokarai No. 2 (''Village Council'') Kokarai is surrounded by high, green mountains. Jambil (Pashto: جامبل) is an administrative unit, known as Village Council in Union Council or Ward Kokarai in Tehsil Babuzai, of Swat District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The union councils of Pakistan ( ur, ), referred to as village councils in villages, are an elected local government body consisting of 21 councillors, and headed by a Nazim which is equivalent to a mayor or chairperson and a Naib Nazib (vice chairperson). As of 2007, there are 5,375 rural union councils across 115 districts. They form the third-tier of local government and fifth tier overall. Its structure and responsibilities differ between provinces and territories.
