Kohei Tanaka (composer)
is a Japanese composer, arranger, conductor and singer-songwriter. He is affiliated with the music production company Imagine. He has created numerous musical scores for anime television series, OVAs, films, video games and ''tokusatsu'' series including ''Gunbuster'', ''Sakura Wars, The King of Braves GaoGaiGar, Betterman,'' and ''One Piece''. Biography Tanaka was a student at Berklee College of Music. While employed playing the piano in a hotel lounge, he was requested to arrange a song in '' Arcadia of My Youth: Endless Orbit SSX'', a 1982 TV anime, and it became his first work as a composer. Afterwards, he produced some songs and arrangements for the Super Sentai series and his first work as a lead composer was for the television anime ''Konpora Kids'' in 1985. Betterman (TV Series)
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Sunrise's internal "Studio 7" and JVC. It is a spinoff of ''The King of Braves GaoGaiGar'', produced under the direction of Yoshitomo Yonetani and writer Hiroshi Yamaguchi. It aired on TV Tokyo from April 1, 1999 to September 30, 1999, and was the first anime to broadcast in widescreen, though it was letterboxed. Doteraman
Doteraman is an anime television series created by Tatsunoko Production. Plot Suzuki is a middle-aged entrepreneur who lives in a small town near Tokyo and owns a small business. Despite his hopelessly normal life, he dreams of becoming a celebrity and being popular. One day he happens to discover the entrance to an unknown space. Romantic Ageru Yo
is a song by Japanese musician Hiroki Takahashi, released on vinyl and cassette on March 1, 1986. It was Takahashi's debut single. The song is best known for serving as the opening theme song of the ''Dragon Ball'' anime series. It later was re-released on mini CD on March 21, 1998. It is coupled with , the show's outro/closing theme song by Ushio Hashimoto. Background and recording The audition for the job of composing the theme songs to the ''Dragon Ball'' anime adaptation was held in December 1985. Composer Takeshi Ike was invited to participate by a producer who said he was good at writing melodies for girls, and given lyrics to two songs. Button Nose
is a 26-episode Japanese animated TV series that aired from 19 October 1985 to 26 April 1986. The series takes place in a fairy tale and science fiction setting and follows the protagonist Button Nose as she finds out she is descended from royalty. It was the first TV series produced by Sanrio. Background The Button Nose character was originally designed by Masayo Hirose (広瀬昌代) for Sanrio, and introduced in 1978. is an anime producer, author, and lecturer. He is a co-founder and former president of the production company Gainax. ''DieBuster'', also known as and ''GunBuster 2'', is a Japanese original video animation (OVA) series directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki, written by Yōji Enokido and animated by Gainax. It was created to commemorate the studio's 20th anniversary in 2004, and is a sequel to their 1988 OVA '' GunBuster''. A compilation film, titled , which condenses ''GunBuster'' and ''DieBuster'' into two feature-length films, was released on October 1, 2006.
