Koh Russei
Koh Russei, Koh Russey or ''Bamboo Island'' (Khmer: កោះឬស្សី) is one of a group of small islands in the Gulf of Thailand, located about off the coast of Sihanoukville city in southern Cambodia. It is administered by Prey Nob District in Sihanoukville Province. For many years, Koh Russey served exclusively as a small outpost of the Cambodian Navy. However, increasing development and rising tourist numbers in Sihanoukville brought tourism to the island. The investment company ''Citystar'' is currently developing a low-density villa community as well as a luxury hotel, that will follow EarthCheck bench-marking and certification. The project is planned to be completed in 2016 and going to serve hotels and resorts. Preah Sihanouk ( km, ព្រះសីហនុ, UNGEGN: , ALA-LC: ), also Sihanoukville, is a province (''khaet'') in southwest Cambodia on the Gulf of Thailand. The provincial capital, also called Sihanoukville, is a deep water port city and a steadily growing and diversifying urban center on an elevated peninsula. First established as Kampong Som ( km, កំពង់សោម), the province was later renamed in honor of former King Norodom Sihanouk, who orchestrated the establishment of Sihanoukville city and the Sihanoukville municipality as this took place alongside the construction of the Sihanoukville Port, which commenced in June 1955. Sihanoukville (; km, ក្រុងព្រះសីហនុ, ), also known as Kampong Som ( km, កំពង់សោម, ), is a coastal city in Cambodia and the capital of Preah Sihanouk Province, at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country's south-west on the Gulf of Thailand. The city is flanked by an almost uninterrupted string of beaches along its entire coastline and coastal marshlands bordering the Ream National Park in the east. The city has one navigable river, the mangrove lined Ou Trojak Jet running from Otres Pagoda to the sea at Otres. Koh Rong ( km, កោះរ៉ុង, ) is the second largest island of Cambodia. Koh Rong Sanloem ( km, កោះរ៉ុងសន្លឹម, ) is an island off the coast of Sihanoukville, Cambodia, south of Koh Rong island. It is around long (north to south), wide (east to west) and wide at its narrowest point. Its distance from the local port of Sihanoukville is (beeline) and (beeline) from the Serendipity/Ochheuteal beach pier. Koh Sdach
Koh Sdach island (Khmer: កោះស្តេច, King Island) is located in the Gulf of Thailand, around off the coast of Botum Sakor national park, in the Kiri Sakor district in Koh Kong province, Cambodia. It belongs to a small archipelago of 12 islands, all in relative proximity to each other and to the main land. A fishing community inhabits the island, with people of Khmer, Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese descent. The village stretches along the east side of the island; to the west there is a small Khmer run bungalow guesthouse; at the southern end of the island lies a luxurious holiday resort.
