Kodungaiyur is a residential neighbourhood in the northern part of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It comes under Perambur Taluk of the Chennai District. Chennai Corporation Limits Earlier, the ward numbers were 01 (Kodungaiyur West) and 02 (Kodungaiyur East). Madhavaram Milk Colony (MMC)
Madhavaram Milk Colony is a neighbourhood in northern Chennai, a metropolitan city in Chennai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Madhavaram Milk Colony is a small habitat of 5000+ population in the northern part of Chennai. Etymology In Tamil language, Tamil, ''pirambu (பிரம்பு)'' means bamboo, and ''oor (ஊர்)'' means city or place. Madhavaram is a neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Located in the northern part of Chennai, it is also a ''taluk'' in Chennai District and a ''zone'' in Greater Chennai Corporation. It is located in between Perambur and Kodungaiyur. As of 2011, the neighbourhood had a population of 119,105. The Chennai district was expanded on 16 August 2018 by transferring Madhavaram taluk from Tiruvallur district to Chennai district. Tiruvottriyur (Thiruvottiyur or TVT) is a neighbourhood in North Chennai, administered by the Greater Chennai Corporation. It is part of the Tondiarpet division, located to the north of Chennai.
