Knut Bøhn
Knut Bøhn (1926 – 1985) was a Norwegian businessperson and judge. He graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1951, and after a period as deputy judge in Holmestrand from 1953 to 1955 he was hired in Nora Fabrikker. He worked here from 1955 to 1958 and 1962 to 1975, last as CEO. He was appointed as a judge in Fredrikstad City Court in 1979 and presiding judge in Eidsivating Court of Appeal in 1982. Holmestrand
is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Holmestrand. The town was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The neighboring rural municipality of Botne was merged into the municipality of Holmestrand on 1 January 1964. Sande municipality merged into Holmestrand on January 1, 2020. The municipality of Hof was merged into Holmestrand on January 1, 2018. The town lies by the Oslofjord and is built beside the water. It was granted municipal status in 1752, but had been a harbour for exporting of timber/lumber since around 1550. It borders the Oslo Fjord in the east, Tønsberg in the south, and it shares a short border with Larvik in the south-west. It is bordered by Viken in the west and north. Nora Fabrikker
Nora Industrier was a Norwegian company, most of its history involved in manufacturing of soft drinks and foodstuffs. It traced its history back to the brewery St. Halvard Bryggeri, established in Pilestredet in 1877. It originally brewed beer only, from 1882 soda as well. In 1918 the brewery relocated, changed its name to Nora Fabrikker and made soda its main product. It was owned by the beer breweries Frydenlund, Schou and Ringnes. In 1978 Nora Fabrikker was the largest soda producer in Norway. Since 1953 the company was also involved in other foodstuffs. In 1978, Nora Fabrikker merged with Frydenlund Schous Bryggeri (a meantime merger) and Ringnes to form Nora Industrier. It involved itself in several non-food fields, buying Helly Hansen in 1985, Bjølsen Valsemølle and Idun Gjærfabrikken in 1986 and Nidar in 1987. The Eidsivating Court of Appeal ( no, Eidsivating lagmannsrett) is one of six courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Hamar. The court has jurisdiction over the counties of Innlandet and eastern Viken. These areas constitute the Eidsivating judicial district ( no, Eidsivating lagdømme).
