Kadapa Municipal Corporation
Kadapa Municipal Corporation is the civic body that governs the city of Kadapa in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the oldest Municipalities of the state, constituted in the year 1868 and was upgraded to Corporation in 2004. Its jurisdiction encompasses an area of 164.08 km2 (63.35 sq mi). Established in the year 2004, the executive power of the corporation is vested in the Municipal Commissioner, appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh which is currently held by Sri G. The Kasturba Medical College International Center (KMCIC) was the Manipal, India campus of American University of Antigua College of Medicine. The college was forged with an agreement between Manipal University (formerly known as the Manipal Academy of Higher Education) and the American University of Antigua College of Medicine (since purchased bThe Manipal Group). KMCIC was established in October 2005, with a focus to train undergraduate and graduate students in the Basic Sciences of the medical curriculum in preparation for the USMLE Step 1 Examinations. KMCIC functions as a distinct college of Manipal University, with its own administrative body led by Dean Poornima Baliga. Marco "Benny" Benassi (; born 13 July 1967) is an Italian DJ and music producer. Emil Joseph Kapaun (April 20, 1916 – May 23, 1951) was a Catholic priest-martyr and United States Army captain who served as a United States Army chaplain during World War II and the Korean War. Kapaun was a chaplain in the Burma Theater of World War II, then served again as a chaplain with the U.S. Army in Korea, where he was captured. He died in a prisoner of war camp. In 1993, Pope John Paul II declared him a Servant of God, the first stage on the path to canonization. In 2013, Kapaun posthumously received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Korea.
