Saint Kjeld
Kjeld or Ketil ( la, Chetillus, Ketillus, da, Keld, Kjeld, Ketil; 1100–1150) was a 12th-century Danish clergyman. He is venerated as a saint in Denmark, by both Catholics and Danish Lutherans. Life Kjeld was born in the early 12th century to wealthy parents, who lived on a farm in the Randers area. He was a godly boy, and it was soon decided that he should have a future in the church. He was sent to Viborg, where he joined the cathedral chapter at the cathedral. The cathedral chapter was the place where priests were trained and while they lived as canons at the cathedral they were in charge of the worship services at the cathedral, and assisted the bishop in his administrative work. The Canons Regula lived in a community following Augustine's Rule and they were led by a dean. Kjeld thrived in the cathedral chapter, where he was elected as head of the cathedral chapter school and around 1145 he was elected dean of the other canons. Kjeld Vibe
Kjeld Vibe (5 October 1927 – 27 January 2011) was a Norwegian diplomat. Born in Stavanger, and was a cand.jur. by education. He started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1955, and served as embassy counsellor in the United States from 1965 to 1969, before becoming sub-director in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was promoted to deputy under-secretary of state in 1972, served as NATO ambassador from 1977 to 1984, then five years as permanent under-secretary of state. From 1989 to 1996 he was the Norwegian ambassador to the United States. Kjeld Tolstrup (27 June 1965 – 21 March 2011) was a Danish radio DJ. Kjeld Toft-Christensen
Kjeld Toft-Christensen (10 March 1910 – 27 November 1945) MC was a Special Operations Executive officer and Danish resistance fighter during the Second World War. Toft-Christensen was born in Copenhagen to Aage and Elna Elise (née Bonnelycke) Toft-Christensen but later emigrated and joined the French Foreign Legion. During the Second World War he served with the Free French in North Africa before he left for England where he joined the British Army. He was trained as a parachutist and in sabotage tactics in the Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment) and obtained the rank of Lieutenant. On 4 April 1944 he was dropped into Skive in Denmark to assist the local resistance under the codename "Dahl". Kjeld Toft-Christensen joined the resistance in Aarhus as a liaison and intelligence officer. He became a part of the newly formed L-groups, focused on assassinations, and worked primarily in and around Aarhus. Kjeld Thorst
Kjeld Thorst (born 13 May 1940) is a Danish former association football player and manager. During his club career he played as a striker for Aalborg Boldspilklub (AaB), scoring 88 goals in 265 games, and winning the 1966 Danish Cup with the club. He scored six goals in 26 games for the Denmark national football team from 1963 to 1969, and represented Denmark at the 1964 European Nations' Cup tournament. In 1966 he became the first ever AaB player to captain the Danish national team. After ending his career, he was manager of AaB from 1976 to 1977. His son Søren Thorst also became a noted player for AaB, albeit as a defender.
