Kitty Wentzel
Kitty Wentzel (née Bætzmann; 9 August 1868 – 20 November 1961) was a Norwegian writer and journalist. She was born in Christiania, and was the daughter of the journalist Frederik Bætzmann and the actress Karen Marie Fougner. She was married to painter Gustav Wentzel. She was a journalist for the newspaper ''Verdens Gang'' from 1913 to 1917, and for ''Ørebladet'' from 1917 to 1924. Among her books are ''Bordets glæder'' from 1925, written jointly with Øvre Richter Frich Øvre Richter Frich (24 March 1872 – 13 May 1945), full name Gjert Øvre Richter Frich, was a Norwegian reporter, newspaper editor and crime fiction writer. Frederik Bætzmann
Samuel Frederik Bætzmann (16 October 1841 – 2 May 1913) was a Norwegian journalist, foreign correspondent and editor. Bætzmann was born in Trondheim. His father, Samuel Severin Bætzmann (1800–1859), was mayor of Trondheim and served as a member of the Norwegian Parliament. He was married to Karen Marie Fougner (1840–1907). He was the father of the journalist Kitty Wentzel and father-in-law of the painter Gustav Wentzel. He traveled in Italy and England from 1859 to 1860. Between 1860 and 1864, he was mostly in Rome, where he was a secretary and librarian in the Scandinavian Society. From 1864 to 1865 he edited the periodical ''Illustreret Nyhedsblad''. He worked for the newspaper ''Aftenbladet'' from 1867 to 1871 and for ''Dagbladet'' from 1871, later for a short period as editor-in-chief. Karen Marie Fougner
Karen Marie Fougner (January 5, 1840 – December 31, 1907) was a Norwegian actress. Family Karen Marie Fougner was born in Bergen, the daughter of the hat-maker and later proprietor Johan Eilert Fougner (1815–1884) of the prominent Fougner family, and Alida Cathrine Brunfeldt (1815–1896). On July 12, 1863, she married the actor Jacob Prom (1831–1865) in Bergen. Following the death of her first husband, on October 16, 1867, she married Samuel Frederik Bætzmann (1841–1913) in Christiania (now Oslo). By her first marriage she became the mother of the actress Ellen Prom, and by her second marriage the mother of the journalist, actor, sculptor, and writer Kitty Wentzel.
