Kitiseni Lopati
Kitiseni Lopati was a Tuvaluan politician who served as the minister of natural resources and commerce, then as the minister of finance and commerce in the cabinet of prime minister Tomasi Puapua in his second term as prime minister of Tuvalu. In September 1988, Lopati was appointed at the minister of finance and commerce to replaced Henry Naisali after he resigned his seat to take up the position of Secretary General of the South Pacific Forum. Tomasi Puapua
Sir Tomasi Puapua (born 10 September 1938) is a political figure who represented Vaitupu in the Parliament of Tuvalu. He attended the Fiji School of Medicine and the Otago University Medical School. He married Riana Puapua. Prime minister He was the second Prime Minister of Tuvalu from 8 September 1981 to 16 October 1989. In a country which sees frequent changes among its head of government, Puapua is noted for having been the hitherto longest serving Prime Minister. Henry Naisali
Henry Faati Naisali, CMG, AO, OBE (7 December 1928 – 20 October 2004) was a Tuvaluan politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister of Tuvalu (1985-1989), Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum (1988-1992) and Pro-Chancellor of The University of the South Pacific (1985-1990). He is notable for co-founding the Tuvalu Trust Fund which lead Tuvalu to achieve greater financial autonomy. He attended the Elisefou School on Vaitupu, the Ratu Kadavulevu and Queen Victoria schools in Fiji, St. Andrews College in Christchurch, New Zealand, and studied at Canterbury University College, 1954-1956. He joined the Gilbert and Ellice Islands civil service in 1952. Alesana Seluka
Alesana Kleis Seluka (MBE, CBE) is medical doctor by profession and is the Chairman of the Public Service Commission of Tuvalu. He represented the constituency of Nui in the Parliament of Tuvalu. He served as the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning from 1996 until 1999, and Minister of Health from 2001 to 2006 and held other Cabinet posts. He was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), then in 1998 he was made an Ordinary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to medicine, politics and the community. Nanumea
Nanumea is the northwesternmost atoll in the Polynesian nation of Tuvalu, a group of nine coral atolls and islands spread over about of the Pacific Ocean just south of the equator and west of the International Date Line. Nanumea is with a population of 512 people (2017 census). The Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) is an inter-governmental organization that aims to enhance cooperation between countries and territories of Oceania, including formation of a trade bloc and regional peacekeeping operations.
