Kitan Crawford
Kitan Crawford (born December 31, 2001) is an American professional football safety for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas Longhorns and Nevada Wolf Pack and was selected by the Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft. Early life and high school Crawford attended Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas. As a junior he totaled 30 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and two interceptions. As a senior, Crawford recorded 1,065 yards and 13 touchdowns. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a four-star recruit, the 24th player in the state of Texas, and the 159th overall prospect, and committed to play college football for the Texas Longhorns over offers from schools such as Arkansas, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Safety (S), historically known as a safetyman, is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety (FS) and the strong safety (SS). The 2025 NFL draft was the 90th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players. The Hula Bowl is a post-season college football all-star game held annually, usually in January. From inception through the 2021 playing, it was held in Hawaii; since the 2022 edition, it has been played in Orlando, Florida. The game was first staged in 1947, between Contiguous United States, mainland collegiate players and local Hawaiian players; it has been played exclusively with collegiate players since 1960.
