Kirstie Gordon
Kirstie Louise Gordon (born 20 October 1997) is a Scottish cricketer who currently plays for Kent, The Blaze and Trent Rockets as a slow-left arm orthodox bowler. She played for Scotland from 2012 to 2017, before switching nationality to England for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament. She has previously played for Nottinghamshire, Loughborough Lightning, Birmingham Phoenix and Otago. Early life Gordon was born in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on 20 October 1997. As a youngster, she represented the North of Scotland at football and tennis. She began to play junior cricket at school and at Huntly Cricket Club. She progressed to play with the Huntly men's first XI aged 14, taking four wickets on debut. 2019 Women's Ashes
The Australia women's cricket team toured England in June and July 2019 to play the England women's cricket team to contest the Women's Ashes. The tour consisted of three Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), one Women's Test match and three Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). A points-based system was used across all three formats of the tour. The Women's Ashes were held by Australia prior to the start of the series. Australia women won the WODI series 3–0, therefore taking a 6–0 lead in the points-based system. Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team
The Bangladesh women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Bangladesh in international women's cricket matches. They made their international debut when they played, and won, two matches against Thailand in July 2007 before participating in and winning the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament. Bangladesh were granted One-Day International (ODI) status in 2011 after finishing fifth in the 2011 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Women's Twenty20 International Cricket
Women's Twenty20 international (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 international is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members. The very first Twenty20 International match was played on 5 August 2004 between England and New Zealand at Hove, six months before the first Twenty20 International match was played between two men's teams. The Women's T20 World Cup, the highest-level event in the format, was first held in 2009. In April 2018, the ICC granted full women's Twenty20 international (WT20I) status to all its members. 2018 Women's Cricket Super League
The 2018 Women's Cricket Super League, or 2018 Kia Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the third season of the Women's Cricket Super League (WCSL), the semi-professional women's cricket competition in England and Wales. The competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), consisted of six franchise teams playing in a Twenty20 format. Western Storm were the defending champions. Surrey Stars won the competition, defeating Loughborough Lightning by 66 runs in the final. Loughborough Lightning (cricket)
Loughborough Lightning were an English women's Twenty20 cricket team based at Loughborough University. They were formed in 2016 to compete in the inaugural season of the Women's Cricket Super League. They primarily played their home matches at the Haslegrave Ground. They were coached by Rob Taylor and were captained by Georgia Elwiss. The team was partnered with Loughborough University. Together with the netball team and the women's rugby union team, the cricket team was one of three women's sports teams based at Loughborough University that used the Loughborough Lightning name. Gloucestershire Women Cricket Team
The Gloucestershire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Gloucestershire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, and are captained by Liv Daniels.
