Alan Kirschenbaum (April 19, 1961 – October 26, 2012) was an American television sitcom producer and writer. Early life, family and education Kirschenbaum was born in New York to stand-up comedian Freddie Roman (a.k.a. Fred Kirschenbaum) and Ethel Kirschenbaum. He had a sister, Judi. Alan's paternal great-grandfather owned the Crystal Springs Hotel in the Catskills, where Freddie Roman began performing. Alan attended high school in New City, New York in Rockland County. Mordechai (Moti) Kirschenbaum (; September 24, 1939 – September 25, 2015) was an Israeli media personality and documentarian. Biography Kirschenbaum was born in Kfar Saba in 1939. He studied in Pardes Hanna Agricultural High School. He served in the parachuted Nahal unit of the IDF. From 1962 to 1968 he studied film and television in UCLA. He was a staff member of the Israeli television from its inception in May 1968, and was editor of "Mabat" ("Glance"), its news program, during its first three years. He directed several documentaries, and produced and edited several television programs (including "Lo HaKol Over" and ' ("Head Cleaning")). Faina Kirschenbaum
Faina Kirschenbaum (; born 27 November 1955) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Yisrael Beiteinu between 2009 and 2015. In July 2021 she was sentenced to ten years in prison following a conviction for bribery. Life and career Born in Lviv in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union (today in Ukraine), Kirschenbaum emigrated to Israel on 31 December 1973. She trained as a nurse at the Beilinson School of Nursing, as well as gaining a BA in general studies from Thames Valley University, an MBA from the University of Derby, a certificate in director's training at Bar-Ilan University.
