Kirka
Kirill "Kirka" Babitzin (Russian '' Кирилл Бабицын'', 22 September 1950 – 31 January 2007) was a Finnish vocalist and musician. One of the most commercially successful artists from Finland, his career lasted from the late 1960s until his death in 2007. Previously associated with Ilkka Lipsanen's band, The Islanders, Kirka went on to record a wide array of rock and pop music. Some of his most famous songs include "Hetki Lyö" (Beat the Clock), "Leijat" (Kites) and "Varrella virran" (Down by the River). His 1988 album ''Surun Pyyhit Silmistäni'' (The Sadness in Your Eyes) went on to be one of the best sold records in Finnish history. He also represented Finland in the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest. ''The Spell'' is a 1987 hard rock album by Kirka. Following in the style of the ''R.O.C.K.'' album, the songs were all in English with a distinct hard rock sound, however, losing some of the aggressiveness of the first album. The album also did not feature covers by other rock acts. Muska
Marija "Muska" Babitzin (born 28 June 1952 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish singer. She became famous in 1971 with "Kirjoita postikorttiin" ('Write on the postcard'), a cover version of Send Me a Postcard by Shocking Blue. Her first, eponymous album was released in 1973. It featured the hit "Krokotiili-rock" (cover of Crocodile Rock by Elton John). Muska participated with her brother Georgij "Ykä" Babitzin in the Finnish national final of Eurovision Song Contest, Euroviisut 1974. The entry "Senhän sanoo järkikin" came sixth. Blues Section
Blues Section are a Finnish rock music group. They started in 1967, formed around the vocalist Jim Pembroke, a British expatriate songwriter now living in Finland. The other members of the band were Eero Koivistoinen (saxophone), Ronnie Österberg (drums), Hasse Walli (guitar), and Måns Groundstroem (bass). Their influences came above all from John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Jimi Hendrix, who had played a gig in Helsinki in May 1967. One can also hear in Pembroke's British-flavoured song-writing some echoes from The Beatles and The Kinks. Blues Section released a self-titled album late 1967 on Helsinki's Love Records. In 1968 Groundstroem and Pembroke left the band, being replaced by Pekka Sarmanto and (another British vocalist) Frank Robson, respectively. Also Koivistoinen would leave the band during the same year, and by the end of 1968 Blues Section was over. Ami Aspelund (born Anne-Marie Aspelund on 7 September 1953) is a Finnish singer. She is the younger sister of singer Monica Aspelund. Sammy Babitzin
Aleksandr "Sammy" Babitzin (11 July 1948 – 29 April 1973) was a Finnish popular music singer, the brother of Kirka and Muska. Babitzin was born into a Russian family in Helsinki, and he was of partial German-Russian descent through his mother. He started his professional career in a band called The Stealers. Its line-up also included Remu Aaltonen. Babitzin sang in the group of Leo Lindblom under the pseudonym "Sammy-boy". Sammy Babitzin released his first single in 1966. Many of his songs were duets recorded together with his brother. Babitzin won the "Syksyn Sävel" song contest (MTV3) in 1972 with the song "Daa-da daa-da".
