Kintbury Rangers F.C.
Kintbury Rangers F.C. are a football club based in the village of Kintbury, West Berkshire, England. In the 2022–23 season they play in the Wiltshire Senior League. Their nickname is the 'Gers'. History The club was formed in 1890. After the Second World War, Rangers joined the Newbury & District League, going on to win the league in the 1958–59 campaign. The club joined the North Berks Football League Premier Division in the 1967–68 season, staying in the Premier Division for three seasons before suffering relegation at the end of the 1969–70 season, and a subsequent relegation the following season to Division Two. It took Kintbury another five seasons to get back to the top division of the North Berks League, doing so by winning Division Two title in the 1975–76 season. Kintbury is a village and civil parish in Berkshire, England, between the towns of Newbury and Hungerford. The village has a convenient railway to and , proximity to other transport and local cultural destinations, including Roman and Norman sites, and forms part of a very large Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the North Wessex Downs which extends from the River Thames at Streatley to West Wiltshire. The Wiltshire Football League is a football league in England, formed by amalgamation in 1976. All clubs are affiliated to a County Football Association. The area covered by the competition is the county of Wiltshire and 15 miles beyond the county boundary. The North Berks Football League is a football competition in England. The league was founded in 1908. It has a total of three divisions, with Division One sitting at level 12 of the English football league system. Lambourn Sports F
Lambourn is a village and civil parish in Berkshire, England. It lies just north of the M4 Motorway between Swindon and Newbury, and borders Wiltshire to the west and Oxfordshire to the north. After Newmarket it is the largest centre of racehorse training in England, and is home to a rehabilitation centre for injured jockeys, an equine hospital, and several leading jockeys and trainers. Charles Austin (born 5 July 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker. Released from his contract by Reading as a youth, Austin played non-league football up to May 2009, when he was signed by Swindon Town after a prolific season for Poole Town. Brett Ashley Mark Angell (born 20 August 1968) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. As a player, he was striker and although notably spending time in the Premier League with Everton and Sunderland, he spent the rest of his career in the Football League with lengthy spells at Stockport County, Southend United and Walsall. Darren Angell
Darren James Angell (born 19 January 1967) is an English former footballer who played as a defender in the Football League. He made only one Football League appearance for Colchester United, on loan from Portsmouth where he made no first team appearances. He later went on to play for a host of non-league clubs, before stepping into management with Kintbury Rangers and Newbury. Playing career Born in Marlborough, Angell began his career at Reading but failed to break into the first team and was subsequently released, moving to non-league Newbury Town. He was picked up by Portsmouth in June 1985, but again did not make an appearance, before being loaned to Colchester United in December 1987.
