Kintamani (dog)
The Kintamani (), or the Kintamani-Bali Dog, is a dog breed native to the Indonesian List of islands of Indonesia, island of Bali. Originally from the Kintamani, Bali, Kintamani region, it is a popular dog amongst residents on the island and the region's only official breed, having been developed from free-roaming local Bali Free-ranging dog, street dogs. It was recognised by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale, Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) in 2019. Lineage The ancestors of the historic Balinese street dogs arrived on the island around 3,000 years ago. A genetic study indicated that the Kintamani breed is genetically related to local island dogs found on Bali. In turn, the island's resident and stray dogs are most-closely aligned with the Dingo, Australian dingo or the New Guinea singing dog, and more distantly-related to American Kennel Club, AKC-recognised breeds of Asian origin, but less to those of European origin. Chow Chow
The Chow Chow is a spitz-type of dog breed originally from Northern China. The Chow Chow is a sturdily built dog, square in profile, with a broad skull and small, triangular, erect ears with rounded tips. The breed is known for a very dense double coat that is either smooth or rough. The fur is particularly thick in the neck area, giving it a distinctive ruff or mane appearance. The coat may be shaded/self-red, black, blue, cinnamon/fawn, or cream. History The Chow Chow has been identified as a basal breed that predates the emergence of the modern breeds in the 19th century. Bangli Regency
Bangli Regency (; ) is the one and only landlocked Regency (Indonesia), regency (''kabupaten'') of the province of Bali, Indonesia. It covers a land area of 520.80 km2, and had a population of 259,392 in 2024. It is bordered by Badung Regency to its west, Gianyar Regency to its west and south, Buleleng Regency to its west and north, Karangasem Regency to its east and Klungkung Regency to its south. Brindle is a coat (animal), coat coloring pattern in animals, particularly dogs, cattle, guinea pigs, cats, and, rarely, horses. It is sometimes described as "tiger-striped", although the brindle pattern is more subtle than that of a tiger's coat. Brindle typically appears as black stripes on a red base. Shar Pei
The Shar Pei () is a dog breed from southern China. Traditionally kept as a property guardian, the shar pei was driven to the brink of extinction in the 20th century. The breed is known in the West for its deep wrinkles, while a traditional less wrinkled form is maintained in Hong Kong.
