King Charles III (play)
''King Charles III'' is a 2014 play in blank verse by Mike Bartlett that premiered at the Almeida Theatre in London. The play is a future history account of the accession and reign of King Charles III of the United Kingdom (who was then still Prince of Wales), and the limiting of the freedom of the press after the News International phone hacking scandal. A 90-minute television adaptation was broadcast on BBC Two on 10 May 2017. Production history The play had its world premiere at the Almeida Theatre from 10 April to 31 May 2014, with previews from 3 April, directed by Rupert Goold. Charles was played by Tim Pigott-Smith, whilst the cast also included Margot Leicester as Camilla, Oliver Chris as Prince William, Lydia Wilson as Catherine, Richard Goulding as Prince Harry, Adam James as the Prime Minister and Nicholas Rowe as the Leader of the Opposition. Miles Richardson
Miles Richardson (born 15 July 1963) is a British actor. Early life Richardson was born in London to parents Ian Richardson and Maroussia Frank, both founding members of The Royal Shakespeare Company. His father was from Edinburgh and his maternal great grandfather was the Russian philosopher Semyon Lyudvigovich Frank. He was educated and brought up in London, Stratford-upon-Avon and New York. Wyndham's Theatre
Wyndham's Theatre is a West End theatre, one of two opened by actor/manager Charles Wyndham (the other is the Criterion Theatre). Located on Charing Cross Road in the City of Westminster, it was designed c. 1898 by W. G. R. Sprague, the architect of six other London theatres between then and 1916. It was designed to seat 759 patrons on three levels; later refurbishment increased this to four seating levels. The theatre was Grade II* listed by English Heritage in September 1960.
