Kinship
In anthropology, kinship is the web of social relationships that form an important part of the lives of all humans in all societies, although its exact meanings even within this discipline are often debated. Anthropologist Robin Fox says that the study of kinship is the study of what Human, humans do with these basic facts of lifemating, gestation, Parenting, parenthood, socialization, siblingship etc. Human society is unique, he argues, in that we are "working with the same raw material as exists in the animal world, but [we] can conceptualize and categorize it to serve social ends." These social ends include the socialization of children and the formation of basic economic, political and religious groups. Kindred McLeary
Kindred McLeary (December 3, 1901, Weimar, Texas – May 29, 1949) was an American architect, artist and educator. Education Kindred McLeary studied architecture at the University of Texas and earned his degree in 1927. While teaching at the University of Texas the following year, McLeary entered one of his paintings, ''Cotton'', in a national art exhibit at the Witte Memorial Museum in San Antonio. The painting portrayed an African-American woman reclining in a field of cotton with several men standing around her, one of them strumming a guitar. Some artists and ministers attacked the picture as obscene, but the art curator of the museum defended it and kept it hanging throughout the exhibit, despite the controversy. Career McLeary began teaching architecture at Carnegie Tech in the autumn of 1928. McLeary was also a noted muralist. Sascha Kindred
Sascha Kindred (born 13 December 1977 in Münster, Germany) is a British swimmer who has competed in six Summer Paralympic Games, winning thirteen medals. Early life Born in Germany, Kindred moved to Britain at the age of 3. He began swimming for a club at the age of 11. He attended Mossley Hollins High School and Kaskenmoor secondary school for a short period of time before going into training at local swimming clubs such as Oldham. Kindred has cerebral palsy, which affects the right side of his body. He competes in the S6 (butterfly), SM6 ( medley) and SB7 (breaststroke) classifications. Parker Kindred
Parker Kindred is an American drummer who played in the band of Jeff Buckley, appearing on his unfinished second album, '' Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk'' in 1997, as well as playing live with Buckley and the rest of his band at Arlene's Grocery on February 9, 1997. Kindred was introduced to Buckley through Mick Grøndahl, then Buckley's bassist, as a permanent replacement for Eric Eidel after mainstay drummer Matt Johnson left the band at the end of the Australian leg of the tour. After Buckley's death Kindred continued to work with the other band members on other projects in New York City. Kindred, with Michael Tighe and Buckley's then-girlfriend, Joan Wasser, formed Black Beetle. Shortly after Wasser embarked on a solo career and the band split up. Nyree Elise Kindred MBE (''née'' Lewis; born 21 September 1980 in Rhondda, Wales) is a Welsh swimmer who has competed in the Paralympic Games on four occasions winning ten medals. Early life Kindred took up swimming at the age of 5, having been taken to a swimming pool by her aunt. Kindred has a form of cerebral palsy and therefore competes in the S6 (butterfly, backstroke, freestyle), SM6 ( medley) and SB5 (breaststroke) classifications. Lisa Kindred (1940 – November 11, 2019) was an Americans, American folk music, folk and blues singing, singer. Kindred, born in 1940 in Buffalo, New York, was a figure in the Greenwich Village and Cambridge, Massachusetts folk scenes of the 1960s. Dave Kindred (born April 12, 1941) is an American sportswriter. Early life and education Kindred was born on April 12, 1941, in Atlanta, Illinois, USA. When he was a teenager his mother bought him a typewriter for his birthday and he wrote about Stan Musial. At around the same age, he aspired to become a sportswriter like Red Smith and would pick up his columns from the train station every Sunday morning. Kindred attended Atlanta High School where he played on their basketball team, leading them to the 1959 regional championship. He continued his aspirations to become a sportswriter although he was discouraged by his English teacher who said, "Maybe one day you can grow up and be a foreign correspondent."
