Kingdom Of Kinda
The Kingdom of Kinda () also called the Kindite kingdom, refers to the rule of the Bedouin, nomadic Arab tribes of the Ma'add confederation in north and central Arabia by the Banu Akil al-Murar, a family of the South Arabian tribe of Kinda (tribe), Kinda, from the 4th century BCE to the 6th century CE. The Kinda did not belong to the Ma'add and their rule over them was likely at the confederation's initiative and engineered by the Kinda's South Arabian patron, the Himyarite Kingdom. The tribes may have sought a prominent, non-involved leader to bring stability to the Ma'add during a period of constant feuding among its constituents. The roughly century-long rule of the Kinda was the first known nomadic Arab monarchy and the first attempt by the tribes to regulate their affairs in a centralized manner. Kinda (tribe)
The Kinda, or Kindah, (, Ancient South Arabian script: 𐩫𐩬𐩵𐩩) were an tribes of Arabia, Arab tribe from South Arabia. Originating in the region to the west of Hadramawt, the Kinda tribe is known to have served the Sabaean Kingdom as Bedouin auxiliaries as early as the 3rd century, later allying themselves with the Himyarite Kingdom under the Jewish king Dhu Nuwas (early 6th century). In the mid-5th century, the tribe established its own kingdom over the Arab tribal confederation of Ma'add in northern and central Arabia, known as the Kingdom of Kinda, which lasted until the mid-6th century. By this point its rulers had all been killed or prompted to flee for Hadramawt. There, the bulk of the tribe had continued to reside and dominate. While many of the tribesmen in Hadramawt likely embraced Judaism with the Himyarites, many of those in central and northern Arabia embraced Christianity. Kinda Municipality () is a municipality in Östergötland County, southeast Sweden. The municipal seat is located in the town Kisa, with some 4,000 inhabitants. The present municipality was created in 1974 through the amalgamation of three municipalities called ''Norra Kinda'', ''Södra Kinda'' and ''Västra Kinda'' (North, South and West Kinda respectively), which had been formed in 1952 from the nine original entities. The Kinda baboon (''Papio kindae'') is a species of baboon present in the miombo woodlands of Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, and possibly western Tanzania. It was once considered a subspecies of the yellow baboon (''P. cynocephalus''), then distinct enough to merit status as full species (''P. kindae'') under the Species#Phylogenetic or cladistic species, phylogenetic species concept. It is named after the town in southern DRC where the type-locality was found. Description The Kinda baboon is golden in color with a light build and slender, lanky appearance. Gadi Kinda (; 23 March 1994 – 20 May 2025) was a professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Born in Ethiopia, he won 10 caps with the Israel national team. Early life Kinda was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to an Ethiopian-Jewish family. At the age of three, he immigrated to Israel with his family. Kinda Mazen Alloush (; born on 27 March 1982 in Hama) is a Syrian actress known for her roles in Syrian and Egyptian drama and cinema. Kinda El-Khatib (; born 1996/7), a Lebanese activist, was convicted in December 2020 of collaboration with Israel. El-Khatib, a critic of Michel Aoun, the political class of Lebanon, and Hezbollah, was released on appeal in March 2021. Background El-Khatib is a Sunni Muslim from Akkar District, and took part in demonstrations in 2019 and 2020. At the time of her arrest, according to her sister Yasmine, El-Khatib was 23 years old, and was a Masters student in English Literature at the Lebanese University. She had worked for a time in 2018 as a translator for the International Society for Parliamentary Elections.
