Kimpo Air Base
Gimpo International Airport , sometimes referred to as Seoul–Gimpo International Airport but formerly rendered in English as Kimpo International Airport, is located in the far western end of Seoul, some west of the central district of Seoul. Gimpo previously carried the IATA airport code SEL, which is now used by airline reservation systems and travel agencies within the Seoul Metropolitan Area, and was the main international airport for Seoul and South Korea before being replaced by Incheon International Airport in 2001. It now functions as Seoul's secondary airport. In 2015, over 23 million passengers used the airport, making it the third-busiest airport in Korea since being surpassed by Jeju International Airport. Jeju International Airport
Jeju International Airport is the second-largest airport in South Korea, just behind Incheon Airport in Incheon near Seoul. It is located in Jeju City. Operations Jeju International Airport, which opened in 1968, serves many mainland destinations in South Korea, as well as international destinations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Yeouido Airport
Yeouido Airport () was an international airport in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea. It operated as an international airport from 1929 to 1958, and thereafter as a military base until 1971. History The Imperial Japanese Army constructed an airstrip on Yeouido in 1916. At the time, the island was predominantly farmland but was also used as an Imperial Army training base.
