Kim So-yeon (writer)
Kim So Yeon (; born 1967) is a South Korean poet. In 1993, she published her first poem “''Urineun chanyanghanda''” (우리는 찬양한다 We Praise) in the journal ''Poetry & Thought''. Biography Kim So Yeon was born in Gyeongju, South Korea in 1967. She studied Korean literature at the Catholic University of Korea, where she also earned her master's degree. She has taught poetry at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and Korea National University of Arts, where a number of her students have gone onto become professional poets. She was a part of a literary circle called 21-''segijeonmang'' (“21st century outlook”), which was formed in 1989 and included fellow South Korean poets Jin I-jeong, Yoo Ha, Cha Chang-ryong, and Ham Min Bok. The 1st century was the century spanning AD 1 ( I) through AD 100 ( C) according to the Julian calendar. Yonhap News Agency is a major South Korean news agency. It is based in Seoul, South Korea. Yonhap provides news articles, pictures and other information to newspapers, TV networks and other media in South Korea. History Yonhap (, , translit. ''Yeonhap''; meaning "united" in Korean) was established on 19 December 1980, through the merger of Hapdong News Agency and Orient Press. OhmyNews
OhmyNews (Hangul: 오마이뉴스) is a South Korean online news website with the motto "Every Citizen is a Reporter". It was founded by Oh Yeon Ho on February 22, 2000. It is the first news website in Korea to accept, edit and publish articles from its readers, in an open source style of news reporting. About 20% of the site's content is written by the 55-person staff, while most of the articles are written by other freelance contributors who are mostly ordinary citizens. Political position OhmyNews is a liberal and progressive media. OhmyNews is a media that shows liberal-leaning bias, unlike the somewhat moderate liberal Hankyoreh and Kyunghyang. OhmyNews is an anti-imperialist and anti-racist, but anti-China/anti-Japan government left-wing nationalist media that is common among South Korean liberals. The SsangYong Motor Company ( ko, 쌍용자동차 주식회사) is a South Korea–based automobile manufacturer. It traces its origins back to a manufacturer established in 1954. The name SsangYong appeared in 1988, after its acquisition by the chaebol SsangYong Group. SsangYong Motor was then acquired by Daewoo Motors, SAIC Motor, and then Mahindra & Mahindra. In 2022, the company was acquired by the KG Group. The SsangYong name is planned to be dropped by the company in March 2023.
