Kim Jeong-min (curler)
Kim Jeong-min (born January 6, 1992 in Seoul) is a South Korean curler from Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He currently skips the Gyeonggi-do Curling Federation men's team. While playing third for Jeong Yeong-seok, he represented South Korea at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship. Career Kim represented South Korea at four Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships from 2010 to 2013 with his teammates Jang Jin-yeong, Kim San, Seo Min-guk and Kim Woorammiroo. After missing the playoffs in 2010, the team won three consecutive silver medals in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2020, Jeong Yeong-seok skipped his Gyeonggi-do Curling Federation team to victory at the 2020 Korean Curling Championships. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. 2021 World Men's Curling Championship
The 2021 World Men's Curling Championship (branded as the 2021 BKT Tires & OK Tire World Men's Curling Championship for sponsorship reasons) was held from April 2 to 11 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada. The event was originally to be held in Ottawa, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championship was moved to Calgary. The event was held in a bio-secure bubble at Canada Olympic Park, which also hosted all major Curling Canada championships leading up to the Worlds (including the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier, which determined Canada's entrant). Jeong Yeong-seok (born April 14, 1995) is a South Korean curling, curler from Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He currently plays Third (curling), third on the Gangwon Provincial Office curling team skipped by Park Jong-duk. While playing for the Gyeonggi-do Curling Federation, he skipped his team to victory at the 2020 Korean Curling Championships and later represented South Korea at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship.
