KidsOut
Kids Out UK is a UK-based Charity (practice), charity located in Leighton Buzzard, offering a variety of services aimed at supporting underprivileged children. The charity provides fun days out, toy boxes, and books to disadvantaged children, with their reports indicating that these efforts impact approximately 80,000 children annually. This includes over 20,000 who, alongside their mothers, have had to flee their homes to escape domestic abuse and live in a refuge. Children receiving help may also come from difficult backgrounds, such as having been excluded from school, having life-limiting disabilities, or facing social and rural isolation. Squadron Leader John Peters (born 1961) is a former pilot of the Royal Air Force (RAF). Early life He attended the independent Churcher's College in east Hampshire, leaving in 1980. By the age of 17, he had his pilot's licence. He attended the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (commonly known as UMIST, now part of the University of Manchester since 2004), gaining a BSc in Building Technology in 1983. John Parrott
John Stephen Parrott (born 11 May 1964) is an English former professional snooker player who won the 1991 World Snooker Championship. He came to prominence in the mid to late 1980s, and remained within the top 16 of the world rankings for 14 consecutive seasons. Following his playing career, he became a snooker commentator and pundit. He twice reached the final of the World Snooker Championship. At the 1989 World Snooker Championship, he lost 3–18 to Steve Davis, the heaviest defeat in a world championship final in modern times. Snoezelen
Snoezelen () or controlled multisensory environment (MSE) is a therapy for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, dementia or brain injury. It consists of placing the person in a soothing and stimulating environment, called the "Snoezelen room", a form of sensory room. These rooms are specially designed to deliver stimuli to various senses, using lighting effects, color, sounds, music, scents, etc. The combination of different materials on a wall may be explored using tactile senses, and the floor may be adjusted to stimulate the sense of balance. The person is usually accompanied by an aide or therapist.
