Kidbug
Kidbug is an international supergroup composed of musicians signed to Joyful Noise Recordings. The project was conceived of by Marina Tadic ( Eerie Wanda) and Adam Harding (Dumb Numbers). They are joined by Thor Harris (Swans), and Bobb Bruno (Best Coast, Pocahaunted). Dale Crover (Melvins, Nirvana et al.) plays drums on the final track of their eponymously titled full-length studio-album debut. Origin Kidbug was originally conceived as a project in December 2018, during Joyful Noise Recordings annual Christmas party and holiday album recording sessions. "We all convened at Postal Recording in Indianapolis to record Christmas songs for the label, and it just sort of grew from there," Harding explains. Dumb Numbers
Dumb Numbers is the musical project of Adam Harding. Harding selects musicians for each Dumb Numbers project from a large group of friends and collaborators.” Lou Barlow, Dale Crover, Bobb Bruno (of Best Coast) and others contributed to the first two studio albums. A genre-defying act, Dumb Numbers musical style has been described variously as doom, sludge, and "swooning feedback pop", however there is general agreement that none of these labels are definitive. Eerie Wanda
Eerie Wanda is the indie pop solo project by the Dutch– Croatian singer-songwriter Marina Tadic. Tadic started writing songs at age 14 when she got her first guitar, and takes an intuitive approach to making music. Various rotating musicians have been a part of the band, including members Jasper Verhulst on bass, Nic Niggebrugge on drums, keyboardist Jeroen de Heuvel, and Bram Vervaet on lead guitar. For their third album, Internal Radio', Adam Harding and producer Kramer were added. The project was formed when Jasper Verhulst, the bassist for Jacco Gardner and Altın Gün, was sent early demo tapes created by Tadic. Verhulst subsequently started performing bass with her, and Eerie Wanda was eventually formed. Joyful Noise Recordings is an independent record label with headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. The label was founded in 2003 in Bloomington, Indiana by Karl Hofstetter, who also played drums on several of the label's first releases. Joyful Noise maintains an active roster of over 30 bands playing various musical styles, though according to the label, each artist "in one way or another bridges the gap between pop and noise." Dale Crover (born October 23, 1967) is an American rock musician. Crover is best known as the drummer for Melvins and has also been the drummer for Men of Porn, Shrinebuilder, Crystal Fairy and, for a brief time, Nirvana. He is also guitarist and vocalist for Altamont. He has toured with Fantômas (filling in for Dave Lombardo), Off!, and Redd Kross. In 2016, Rolling Stone listed him as the 69th greatest drummer of all time.
