Kidanch () is a village in the Pechenizhyn settlement hromada of the Kolomyia Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast in Ukraine. History The first written mention of the village was in 1444. On 19 July 2020, as a result of the administrative-territorial reform and liquidation of the Kolomyia Raion, the village became part of the Kolomyia Raion. An oblast (, ; ), sometimes translated as region or province, is the main type of first-level administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division of Ukraine. The country's territory is divided into 24 oblasts, as well as one Autonomous republic of Ukraine, autonomous republic and two City with special status, cities with special status. As Ukraine is a unitary state, oblasts do not have much legal scope of competence other than that which is established in the Constitution of Ukraine, Ukrainian Constitution and devolved by law. Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (), also referred to as Ivano-Frankivshchyna () or simply Frankivshchyna, is an administrative divisions of Ukraine, oblast (region) in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. A raion (; ), often translated as district, is the second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division in Ukraine. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. On 17 July 2020, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) approved an administrative reform to merge most of the 490 raions, along with the "City of regional significance (Ukraine), cities of regional significance", which were previously outside the raions, into just 136 reformed raions. Kolomyia Raion
Kolomyia Raion () is a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (region). The administrative center of the raion is the city of Kolomyia. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast was reduced to six, and the area of Kolomyia Raion was significantly expanded. Two abolished raions, Horodenka and Sniatyn Raions, as well as the city of Kolomyia, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion, were merged into Kolomyia Raion. In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. A municipality is designated ''urban hromada'' if its administration is located in a city; ''settlement hromada'' if it is located in a settlement (''selyshche''), and ''rural hromada'' if it is located in a village (Village#Ukraine, ''selo'') or a ''selyshche''.
