Kia Syros
The Kia Syros is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by the South Korean automaker Kia in India. It is positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos. It was unveiled on 19 December 2024. The name "Syros" is derived from the Syros island in Greece. Overview It features a boxy shape inspired by the EV9. The headlamps are in vertical shape headlights and the rearlamps are in L–shaped rearlights. The brake lights are at the bottom of the rear bumper. In the Indian market, it is available in six grades; HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and HTX+ (O). The Latin New Car Assessment Programme (Latin NCAP) is an Automobile safety rating, automobile safety assessment programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2010, it offers independent information to consumers about the safety levels of new cars in the market. The Bharat New Car Assessment Program, also known as the Bharat NCAP, is the official New Car Assessment Program for India. Cars sold in the country will be assigned by star ratings based on their safety performance. It was implemented in phases, according to the plans drawn up by the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project. It is the 10th NCAP in the world and was set up by the government of India. The program was expected to begin mid-2014, but postponed to start from 2017. It was later scrapped until finally launching in August 2023.
