Kia EV5
The Kia EV5 is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by South Korean manufacturer Kia since 2023. It is the third model in the manufacturer's " EV" battery electric vehicle range after the EV6 and EV9. It is also the first battery electric vehicle that will be exported by Kia from China, being produced by joint venture Jiangsu Yueda Kia Motors. Overview A concept car previewing the production version was revealed in China on 20 March 2023, at the brand's EV Day event. The concept uses sustainable materials throughout the interior, including plant-based materials such as seaweed extract and recycled plastic bottles used on the seat trim, headliner and door and dashboard linings. The production version of the EV5 was released in August 2023 at the Chengdu Motor Show. Yancheng
Yancheng (), formerly known as Yandu, is a prefecture-level city in the eastern coastal Jiangsu province, People's Republic of China. As the city with the largest jurisdictional area in Jiangsu, Yancheng borders Lianyungang to the north, Huai'an to the west, Yangzhou and Taizhou to the southwest, Nantong to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the east. China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle
The China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) () is a driving cycle standard introduced by the government of China to measure the energy consumption, driving range and emissions of light-duty vehicles, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EV). It was developed with a goal to align vehicle testing with Chinese real-world driving conditions, and to replace the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) in China. The North American Charging System (NACS), standardized as SAE J3400, is an electric vehicle (EV) charging connector standard developed by Tesla, Inc. and maintained by SAE International. A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle or show vehicle) is a car made to showcase new styling or new technology. Concept cars are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be produced.
