Khund
The Khunds are a fictional alien race in the DC Universe, notable for extreme violence. They first appeared in ''Adventure Comics'' #346 (July 1966), as enemies of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th century. Earthwar
"Earthwar" is a comic book story arc that was published by American company DC Comics, presented in ''Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes'' #241-245 (July–November 1978). It was written by Paul Levitz, pencilled by James Sherman and Joe Staton and inked by Bob McLeod. The story arc features the efforts of the Legion of Super-Heroes to halt a massive intergalactic war involving the United Planets, the Khunds, the Dominators, the Dark Circle and the sorcerer Mordru. Mordru, also known as Mordru the Merciless, is a supervillain featured in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Jim Shooter and artist Curt Swan, Mordru made his first appearance in ''Adventure Comics'' #369 (June 1968). Originally Wrynn, a scion of a notable family in Gemworld who sought power through black magic, released an entity whom served the Lords of Chaos, Wyrnn's mind was overtaken and replaced with a different being who christened himself as Mordru. ''Invasion!'' was a three-issue comic book limited series and crossover event published in 1988 by DC Comics. It was plotted by Keith Giffen, and ties up a great many plotlines from various Giffen-created DC series, including '' Omega Men'', '' Justice League International'', and ''Legion of Super-Heroes''. A trade paperback collection of the three issues was released on September 3, 2008. The series was scripted by Bill Mantlo; it was his first work for DC after a long career at Marvel Comics. The Dark Circle is a criminal organization appearing in media published by DC Comics, primarily as an enemy of the Legion of Super-Heroes. They first appeared in 1968, created by Jim Shooter as a criminal organization founded by five members and consisting of them and their clones. The Dark Circle concept was later modified to consist of members from five core worlds instead of clones. A later version, introduced following the '' Zero Hour: Crisis in Time!'' reboot, was led by Brainiac 4 and had several known Legion enemies among their ranks instead of generic masked henchmen.
