The Mizoram Premier League (also known as LZ JUICE Mizoram Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest state-level football league in Mizoram, India. On a national scale, it is the 5th tier of Indian football league system. The competition is conducted by the Mizoram Football Association, the official football body of Mizoram, with Tetea Hmar as its secretary and key promoter. The league started on 24 October 2012 for the first time. League structure Mizoram Premier League has eight clubs. The four top clubs qualify for the MPL automatically While the other 4 teams will be decided via a playoff . Mizoram Football Association (MFA) is the governing body of football in the state of Mizoram, India. It is affiliated with the All India Football Federation, the national governing body. Mizoram football enthusiasts started Aizawl Sport Association in 1945. After 1972, the name was changed to Mizoram Sports Association. In 1973 under the guidance of Shri Lal Thanhawla, football started as a separate unit and took the name Mizoram Football Association. MFA was registered under society act in the year of 1980. MFA covers 11 regional districts. It sends state teams for Santosh Trophy and Senior Women's National Football Championship. Rajiv Gandhi Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Mualpui, Salem Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It is used mainly for football and athletics. Chhinga Veng Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Aizawl, Mizoram. The club competes in the Mizoram Premier League. The club made its I-League 2nd Division debut in the 2018–19 season, and finished as runners-up. History Chhinga Veng FC was established in 1985. Chhinga Veng won the Independence Day tournament, the oldest football cup tournament in Mizoram in 2017. They followed it by winning MFA Super cup in the same year.
