Kharkiv Oblast Football Federation
Kharkiv Oblast Football Federation (HOFF) is a football governing body in the region of Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. The federation is a member of the FFU Council of Regions, Regional Council of FFU and the collective member of the FFU itself. Until creation of Poltava Oblast in fall of 1937, Poltava Oblast teams played in competitions of Kharkiv Oblast. FC Helios Kharkiv (FC Gelios) is a Ukrainian association football, football club located in Kharkiv, Ukraine. From 2003 to 2018 the club competed at professional level. In 2018 it was expected to be succeeded by FC Kobra Kharkiv, but unsuccessfully. FC Helios dissolved its professional team, but kept its football academy which competes at regional level. FC Arsenal Kharkiv is a football club based in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Arsenal Kharkiv currently plays in the regional competitions of Kharkiv city. In 2005 on the base of the club was formed another club ''FC Kharkiv''. FC Arsenal has a well established infrastructure with series of stadiums and sport schools. FC Mayak Valky is an amateur football club from Valky, Ukraine. History The club was established in 1958 as ''Mayak'' (Lighthouse) and sponsored by the Shevchenko Kharkiv Instrument Factory. Mayak competed in the Soviet Second League and Soviet Second League B. After the fall of the Soviet Union the club was transferred on the balance of the local school of Olympic Reserve and therefore changed its name accordingly. The club has been featured regularly in the Ukrainian Second Division it serves as a junior team for the FC Metalist Kharkiv franchise. Football Club Metalist Kharkiv, also known as Football Club Metalist Kharkov or FC Metalist Kharkov ( ), is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club based in Kharkiv that plays in the Ukrainian First League during the 2023–24 Ukrainian First League, 2023–24 season. It was revived five years after the original FC Metalist Kharkiv ceased operations. Founded in 1925, FC Metalist Kharkiv had worked its way up the rungs of the Soviet Union, Soviet football system, eventually being promoted to the Soviet Top League in 1960. FC Lokomotyv Kharkiv () was a football club from Kharkiv. History The club entered official Soviet competitions in 1936 Soviet Cup as Lokomotiv Kharkov. It was formed out of the team Krasnyi Zheleznodorozhnik (Red Rail Worker) that existed in Kharkiv since 1923. In league competitions the team appeared in 1938 playing in the first group of the Ukrainian SSR championship and replacing "Stalinets" team that represented electric-mechanical factory. After the World War II, in 1945 the team was admitted to the Soviet second tier competitions known as "Vtoraya Gruppa" (Second Group) along with two other teams from the Ukrainian SSR, Kharchovyk Odesa (today Chornomorets) and Shakhtar Stalino. FC Silmash Kharkiv was an association football club of Ukrainian SSR and Soviet Union. Hellferich Sade Factory The club represented the German-owned engine factory Hellferich Sade (after its owner Max Helfferich, in Russian transliteration "Gelferikh") that existed since 1875 in Kharkiv and produced agricultural equipment.
