Khaidi Kannayya
''Khaidi Kannayya'' () is a 1962 Indian Telugu-language crime film directed by B. Vittalacharya and produced by Pothina Doondeswara Rao. It is a remake of the Hindi film ''Qaidi No. 911'' (1959) and its Tamil version ''Kaithi Kannayiram'' (1960). The film stars Kanta Rao, Rajanala, Gummadi, Relangi, Rajasulochana and Girija. Plot Kannayya is robbed of the bank cash he was carrying by Paparao, a gangster who also kidnaps his motherless son Ravi with the help of his partner Ramu. Kannayya is framed for the theft and arrested. In prison he learns that his son has died, and blames his sister-in-law Madhavi and her brother Ramu for the death. Kannayya finds solace in the company of Raju, the son of the jailor. Padma is Raju's tutor. A dangerous criminal Durgarayudu kidnaps Raju and absconds from prison. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham. Hogenakkal, Dharmapuri
Hogenakkal is a hamlet in the Pennagaram taluk of Dharmapuri district, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Etymology The hamlet of Hogenakkal shares its etymology with the nearby falls, deriving from the Kannada words 'hoge' and 'kall', meaning smoke and rock respectively. Hogenakkal basically means smoke over the rocks, referencing the appearance of the mist of the waterfalls. Geography The hamlet is close to the confluence of the Kaveri and Chinnar rivers, just upstream of Hogenakkal Falls.
