Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma
Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma ( ne, खड्ग बहादुर बिश्वकर्मा) alias Prakanda (प्रकाण्ड), born 17 May 1968 (२०२५ जेष्ठ ४ शुक्रवार), is a Nepalese communist politician, belonging to Communist Party of Nepal, led by Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav”. He is a member of the standing committee and spokesman of Communist Party of Nepal. In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election he was elected from Kalikot 1 constituency, winning 27629 votes. He was subsequently appointed as Minister of Tourism and civil aviation in the Cabinet headed by Mr. Jhalanath Khanal. Kalikot District
Kalikot District ( ne, कालीकोट जिल्ला ), a part of Karnali province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Manma as its district headquarters, covers an area of , had a population of 105,580 in 2001 and 136,948 in 2011. In September 2005, in a bid to encourage a change in social attitudes, the government announced that it would provide rice to any family that had recently had a girl born. Geography and Climate Demographics At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, Kalikot District had a population of 136,948. Of these, 99.5% spoke Nepali as their first language.
