Kfar Daniel
Kfar Daniel () is a moshav shitufi in central Israel. Located around four kilometres south-east of Lod and covering 2,900 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In it had a population of . History During the Ottoman period, the area belonged to the Nahiyeh (sub-district) of Lod that encompassed the area of the present-day city of Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut in the south to the present-day city of El'ad in the north, and from the foothills in the east, through the Lod Valley to the outskirts of Jaffa in the west. This area was home to thousands of inhabitants in about 20 villages, who had at their disposal tens of thousands of hectares of prime agricultural land. Mahal (Israel)
Mahal, more often spelled Machal (), refers to the group of overseas volunteers who fought alongside Israeli forces during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. Some 4,000 volunteers, mostly Jews but also non-Jews, arrived from all over the world. Mahal is an acronym of (''Mitnadvei Hutz LaAretz'', "volunteers from abroad"). Mahal was disbanded after the war and most of the volunteers went home, although some remained in the country as permanent residents. Moshavim
A moshav (, plural ', "settlement, village") is a type of Israeli village or town or Jewish settlement, in particular a type of cooperative agricultural community of individual farms settler, pioneered by the Labour Zionists between 1904 and 1914, during what is known as the Second Aliyah, second wave of ''aliyah''. A resident or a member of a moshav can be called a "moshavnik" (). There is an umbrella organization, the Moshavim Movement. The moshavim are similar to kibbutzim with an emphasis on communitarian, individualist labour. Daniel Interchange
Daniel Interchange is a key freeway interchange in the Central District of Israel. The Daniel Interchange is located west of Kfar Daniel and south of Ben Shemen Interchange. The interchange takes the form of a 1.5 kilometer long road concurrency of Highway 1 and Highway 6 running north–south. It is possible to switch between Highways 1 and 6 only proceeding in the same general direction of north or south (toward Tel Aviv or Jerusalem respectively on Highway 1). Highway 6 (Israel)
Highway 6 (, ''Kvish Shesh''), also known as the Trans-Israel Highway or Cross-Israel Highway (, ''Kvish Ḥotzeh Yisra'el''), is a major electronic toll highway in Israel. Highway 6 is the first Israeli Build-Operate-Transfer road constructed, carried out mainly by the private sector in return for a concession to collect tolls on the highway for a given number of years. It is also one of the largest infrastructure projects undertaken in Israel.
