Keyakidaira Station
is a railway station operated by Kurobe Gorge Railway in Kurobe, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Though the tracks continue southward to Kurobe Dam, access past Keyakidaira Station is limited to employees of the Kansai Electric Power Company (Kanden) and guided tours. Station overview Keyakidaira Station is composed of two separate platforms that are separated by 200 m of elevation. The lower platform, known as , is open to the general public, and is the terminus of regular passenger service. The upper platform, known as , is limited to Kanden employees only. The two platforms are connected by an elevator that is capable of carrying one train car at a time. Kurobe Gorge Railway
The , or for short, is a private, Narrow gauge railway, narrow gauge railway company operating the Kurobe Gorge Main Line along the Kurobe River in the Kurobe gorge area of Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The railway was built to serve the construction of the Kurobe dam for the Kansai Electric Power Company, which was completed in 1963; Kurotetsu was spun off from the power company in June 1971, but remains a wholly owned subsidiary. At its terminus, the Main Line links to Kurobe Senyō Railway, which is not open to the general public. , the company operated 25 locomotives, 139 passenger carriages and 204 freight wagons.
