Key Witness (book)
''Key Witness'' is a book on Asian Agri Group's tax evasion. Originally written in Indonesia language under the title ''Saksi Kunci'', its author is former ''Tempo'' journalist Metta Dharmasaputra. Narrative Vincent is former Group Financial Controller of the dozen-odd oil palm plantation companies under the Asian Agri Group owned by Sukanto Tanoto, Indonesia's richest man. Asian Agri is one of the holding companies within Royal Golden Eagle (previously known as Raja Garuda Mas), which operates palm oil, cocoa and rubber plantations—one of the biggest such companies in the world. Sukanto's business group is a global conglomerate. Tempo (Indonesian Magazine)
''Tempo'' (stylized in all caps) is an Indonesian weekly magazine that covers news and politics on Mondays. It was founded by Goenawan Mohamad and Yusril Djalinus and the first edition was published on 6 March 1971. The magazine's motto is ''Enak Dibaca dan Perlu'' (). History New Order era On June 21, 1994, under the New Order (Indonesia), New Order of President Suharto (1921–2008), Information Minister Harmoko (1939–2021) banned the publishing of ''Tempo'' magazine, along with two other weekly news magazines, ''Editor'' and ''DeTik'', citing them as a threat to national stability. Sheila Coronel
Sheila S. Coronel is a Philippines-born investigative journalist and journalism professor. She is one of the founders of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ). In 2006, she was named the inaugural director of thStabile Center for Investigative Journalismat Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. The Corruption Eradication Commission (), abbreviated as KPK, is an Indonesian government agency established to prevent and fight corruption in the country. History Background Anti-corruption efforts began in Indonesia in the 1950s.
