Key Lawrence (born February 18, 2001) is an American football cornerback for the Ole Miss Rebels. He previously played for the Oklahoma Sooners and the Tennessee Volunteers. Early life and high school Lawrence attended high school at Ensworth. Coming out of high school, Lawrence was rated as a four-star recruit where he held offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami Ohio State, and Tennessee. Lawrence ultimately decided to commit to play college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. College career Tennessee In Lawrence's first career season in 2020, he finished the year with eight tackles and a pass deflection. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. 2021 Texas Tech Red Raiders Football Team
The 2021 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team represented Texas Tech University during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Red Raiders play their home games at the Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, and compete in the Big 12 Conference.
