Kevin White (basketball)
Kevin David White (born 7 April 1987) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). High school career White attended Scots College in Sydney, and was a member of its 2004 premiership winning basketball team. He was named the New South Wales High School Basketballer of the Year during his senior year in 2005. College career White redshirted his freshman season while attending San Diego Christian College to recover from a shoulder injury during the 2006–07 season. He transferred to the University of Alaska Anchorage to play for the Seawolves, with whom he played for three seasons. Professional career White began his professional career as a development player with the Sydney Kings during the 2010–11 NBL season. Sydney Kings
The Sydney Kings are an Australian men's professional basketball team competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). The team is based in Sydney, New South Wales. The Kings were formed from a merger between the West Sydney Westars and the Sydney Supersonics in October 1987. They were the first team to win three consecutive championships in the NBL and currently sit third alongside the Adelaide 36ers and New Zealand Breakers (four each) for championships won, behind Melbourne United (six) and the Perth Wildcats (ten). 2021–22 NBL Season
The 2021–22 NBL season was the 44th season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of ten teams are contesting in the 2021–22 season, which commenced on 3 December 2021. Australian broadcast rights to the season are held by ESPN in the first season of a new three-year deal. All games are available live on ESPN and the streaming platform Kayo Sports. After signing onto the new three-year deal, Network 10 will broadcast two Sunday afternoon games on 10 Peach and 10 Play. 2020–21 NBL Season
The 2020–21 NBL season was the 43rd season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of nine teams contested in the 2020–21 season. The regular season was played between January and June 2021, followed by a post-season in June 2021. Australian broadcast rights to the season were held by SBS Viceland in the second year of a two-year deal. All games were available live and free on streaming platforms such as SBS On Demand. ESPN also broadcast select games, including all games after 7.30pm AEDT. In New Zealand, Sky Sport were the official league broadcaster. Brendan Teys
Brendan William Teys (born 22 February 1990) is an Australian professional basketball player for the South West Metro Pirates of the NBL1 Central. Professional career Early career (2008–2013) Following a junior basketball career with the South West Metro Pirates of the Queensland Basketball League, Teys signed with his hometown Brisbane Bullets of the NBL as a development player in 2008 but the club folded before the season commenced. Teys followed former Bullets coach Joey Wright to the Gold Coast Blaze, where he played sparingly over three seasons. After the Blaze folded before the start of the 2012–13 NBL season, Teys played with the Townsville Crocodiles for two games in 2012. Rob Beveridge
Rob Beveridge (born 15 January 1970) is an Australian professional basketball coach. After coaching the under-19 Australian Emus at the 2003 World Championship to a gold medal win, he began his National Basketball League (NBL) coaching career in 2007 with the West Sydney Razorbacks. The club re-branded as the Sydney Spirit and then folded; Beveridge subsequently joined the Perth Wildcats in 2009 and won an NBL championship in 2010. After four years, three grand finals and one championship, he left the Wildcats and joined the Illawarra Hawks in 2015. He led the Hawks to a grand final appearance in 2017 and left after four seasons. South East Australian Basketball League
The South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) was an Australian semi-professional basketball league. The league comprised both a men's and women's competition and was run by the country's governing body, Basketball Australia. The league was one and the same with the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from its inception in 1981 until 1993. With the inclusion of a North conference from Queensland in 1994, the history of the SEABL and ABA was split from one another for the first time. Alaska Anchorage Seawolves
The Alaska Anchorage Seawolves are the 13 varsity athletic teams that represent the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), in Anchorage, Alaska, United States, in NCAA intercollegiate sports. The vast majority of UAA's athletic teams are in NCAA Division II, with the exception of the women's gymnastics and men's ice hockey teams, which are members of Division I.
