Gardner Francis Cooper Fox (May 20, 1911 – December 24, 1986) was an American writer known best for creating numerous comic book characters for DC Comics. He is estimated to have written more than 4,000 comics stories, including 1,500 for DC Comics. Fox was also a science fiction author and wrote many novels and short stories. Fox is known as the co-creator of DC Comics heroes Barbara Gordon, the original Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Zatanna and the original Sandman, and was the writer who first teamed several of those and other heroes as the Justice Society of America, and later recreated the team as the Justice League of America. Fox introduced the concept of the Multiverse to DC Comics in the 1961 story "Flash of Two Worlds!". Kevin Menear (born March 12, 1956), known professionally as Kevin Matthews, is a Midwest United States radio personality, best known for his 12-year association with WLUP "The Loop" and its one-time sister-station, WMVP "AM 1000." Matthews became popular for his off-kilter take on various topics. He's known for doing voices, including that of his irascible sidekick, sportscaster Jim Shorts. One of his bits was encouraging his listeners to yell out "Free Bird!" at various concerts, whether it was the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, or Barry Manilow. One incidence of this was a heckler shouting "Free Bird!" as well as the names of Matthews and Shorts at a Bill Hicks show prompting an infamous rant by Hicks. Radio During the summer of 1986, KWK-FM brought Matthews to St. Louis from WLAV in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but he was fired the next year. Kevin Matthews (born March 2, 1960) is an American politician who served in the Oklahoma Senate representing the 11th district from 2015 to 2024. He previously served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives representing the 73rd district from 2012 to 2015. Early life, education, and career Kevin Matthews was born in Tulsa where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He attended Central State University between 1978 and 1981. He later earned a degree in fire protection technology while working for the Tulsa Fire Department. He worked for 25 years for the department, retiring as the Administrative Fire Chief of the department. He was the first African American Administrative Fire Chief for the Tulsa Fire Department. Kevin Matthew McDonald (born February 10, 1983) is an American professional wrestler. He is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a coach and producer. He is best known for his time in Impact Wrestling, under the ring name KM. Professional wrestling career Independent promotions and WWE appearance (2000–2014) As a native of New York, Matthews wrestled in many promotions around New York City and New Jersey early in his career. In 2004 he wrestled for World Xtreme Wrestling in Pennsylvania teaming up with Greg Matthews. He was managed by Krissy Vaine. Kevin James Matthews (born February 4, 1987) is an American former professional football center who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tennessee Titans. He played college football at Texas A&M University. Early life Matthews attended Elkins High School, where he received All-District honors in his last two years. He was named to the 2005 All-Greater Houston football team. He also practiced the shot put. He accepted a scholarship from Texas A&M University, becoming a starter at center as a junior. He finished his college career with 34 games and 25 straight starts.
