Kevin Stephen Johnson (born 3 July 1942) is an Australian singer-songwriter. Popular in the 1970s, his biggest hit is "Rock and Roll (I Gave You the Best Years of My Life)", which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart in 1973 (as well as reaching the UK Top 40). He also had a top 20 hit with "Bonnie Please Don't Go" (aka "She's Leavin'") in 1971. "Rock and Roll" is one of the most cover version, covered songs written by an Australian with 27 different artists recording the song in 1975 alone. Covers of "Rock and Roll (I Gave You the Best Years of My Life)" came from fellow Australians, Col Joye and Dig Richards, and from international artists, Mac Davis, Terry Jacks, Gary Glitter, Joe Dassin (in French), The Cats (Dutch band), The Cats and Tom Jones (singer), Tom Jones. Kevin VladimirovichJohnson (born September 7, 1979) is an American-Russian professional boxer. He has challenged once for the WBC heavyweight title in 2009. He holds notable wins over former world champions Bruce Seldon and Yoan Pablo Hernández. Amateur career Johnson started boxing at the age of 18. He was an unheralded amateur with only a 14–2 record but won the New Jersey Golden Gloves. Professional career He turned pro in 2002. After only three fights the lanky counterpuncher was thrown in with an undefeated Olympian in Timur Ibragimov, who already had 13 victories. Kevin R. Johnson (born October 9, 1960) is an American businessman and software engineer who was the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Starbucks Coffee Company from 2017 to 2022. Succeeding Howard Schultz as CEO, Johnson previously was the company's president and chief operating officer from 2015 to 2017. Kevin Maurice Johnson (born March 4, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player and politician who served as the 55th mayor of Sacramento, California, from 2008 to 2016. Elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, Johnson is the first African American to serve as mayor of Sacramento. Before entering politics, Johnson was a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 1986 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships were held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Organized by The Athletics Congress (TAC), the competition took place on February 28 and served as the national championships in indoor track and field for the United States. Kevin Johnson (born November 11, 1966) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Southern Jaguars men's basketball team. Playing career Johnson played at Texas Pan–American (now UT Rio Grande Valley) under Lon Kruger for two seasons. In his senior year, he averaged 16.2 points per game and earned American South Conference First-Team honors. He'd embark on a professional career in England, playing one season for the Leicester Riders, and two seasons with the Oldham Celtics, acting as player/coach for the latter.
