Kevin Grantham
Kevin Grantham (born June 29, 1970) is an American politician who serves on the county commission of Fremont County, Colorado. He served in the Colorado Senate from the 2nd district as a member of the Republican Party from 2011 to 2019. He served as president of the state senate during his tenure. Grantham was born in Ordway, Colorado, and educated at Liberty University. His father had been the chair of the Crowley County Republican Party and his son later served as a county clerk and recorder. He served on the board of adjustments and city council in Cañon City before he was elected to the state senate. He served as the chair of the Appropriations committee in the state senate. He served as the Republican caucus whip and later as president of the state senate. Grantham was criticized for his handling of sexual harassment allegations during his tenure as president. Fremont County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 48,939. The county seat is Cañon City. The county is named for 19th-century explorer and presidential candidate John C. Frémont. Fremont County comprises the Cañon City, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Pueblo-Cañon City, CO Combined Statistical Area. Rural Fremont County is the location of 15 prisons; most of these are operated by the state. Grand Junction Daily Sentinel
The ''Grand Junction Daily Sentinel'' is the largest daily newspaper in western Colorado, with distribution in six counties. History I.N. Bunting of Pennsylvania and Howard T. Lee founded the newspaper in 1893. In 1911, future U.S. Senator Walter Walker bought the newspaper. When he died in 1956, his son, Preston Walker, inherited the ''Sentinel'', managing it until he died in 1970. He left it to newspaper employee Ken Johnson, who sold it the company to Cox Newspapers in 1979. The new publisher, James C. 2022 United States Senate Election In Colorado
The 2022 United States Senate election in Colorado was held on November 8, 2022, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the State of Colorado. Incumbent Democratic Senator Michael Bennet won reelection to a third full term, defeating Republican businessman Joe O'Dea. Originally appointed to the seat in 2009, Bennet won a full term in 2010 and a second full term in 2016. Bennet won by a wide margin of nearly 15 points, significantly outperforming his polling. His margin is the highest for a Democrat in a Senate election in Colorado since 1974. This was the first of Bennet’s Senate elections in which he received a majority of the vote. Beth McCann (born February 10, 1949) is an American politician who serves as the current Denver District Attorney, the first woman to hold the office. KRCC (91.5 MHz) is a public radio station in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is owned by Colorado College and operated by Colorado Public Radio.
