Kevin Cooper (born Richard Goodman; January 8, 1958) is an American convicted of four murders in the Chino Hills area of California in 1983. Cooper's conviction has garnered repeated attention from both Nicholas Kristof in ''the New York Times'' and Erin Moriarty on the CBS News program "48 Hours." There have been accusations that Cooper received an inadequate defense, as well as prosecutorial misconduct such as destruction of evidence, withholding exculpatory evidence from the defense, planting of evidence, brainwashing to witnesses, and perjured testimony by the Sheriff's Department. There have also been practical questions raised, such as how Cooper, at 155 pounds, and allegedly acting alone, overpowered a 6-foot, 2-inch ex-military policeman and his athletic wife, both of whom had loaded firearms close at hand. Kevin Lee Cooper (born 8 February 1975) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. He is the currently head coach of Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League club Armed Forces. Playing career Cooper began his career as a trainee at his hometown club Derby County but managed only five first team appearances for the club in total. His league debut came on 7 May 1995, as a substitute in a 2–1 defeat at Watford. In the spring of 1997, he found an opportunity for first team football when he was taken on loan at First Division Stockport County. The midfielder joined the Edgeley Park club permanently that summer for £150,000 and went on to make 173 appearances in total over almost four seasons. He eventually moved to Wimbledon in March 2001 for £800,000. He stayed a year with the Dons, notching his best seasonal goal tally of 10 during the 2001–02 season. Kevin Cooper (born April 7, 1991) is a professional lacrosse player with the Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. He played high school lacrosse for Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland where he then committed to the University of Maryland. He is the Son of Christopher and Susanne Cooper. Older brother of fellow Terps Brian and Emily. Majored in Letters and Sciences. Cooper was drafted in the 2nd round (16th overall) by the Chesapeake Bayhawks before being traded to the Ohio Machine. College career Cooper played college lacrosse at the University of Maryland from 2010 to 2013. He led his team to 2 national championship games in 2011 and 2012 while with the Terrapins, in 2011 and 2012.
