Kevin Coleman Jr.
Kevin Lamar Coleman Jr. is an American college football wide receiver for the Missouri Tigers. He previously played for the Jackson State Tigers, the Louisville Cardinals and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Early life Coleman grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended St. Mary's High School. As a senior he caught 37 passes for 985 yards and 17 touchdowns, rushed for 435 yards and six touchdowns on 37 carries, and gained 573 yards and scored six touchdowns on 21 kickoff and punt returns. Coleman was a consensus top-100 recruit and committed to play college football at FCS Jackson State over offers from major programs such as Oregon, Miami, and Florida State. The 2022 Celebration Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 17, 2022, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The seventh annual Celebration Bowl, the game featured the Jackson State Tigers, champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the North Carolina Central Eagles, champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). ''The Clarion Ledger'' is an American daily newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi. It is the second-oldest company in the state of Mississippi, and is one of the few newspapers in the nation that continues to circulate statewide. It is an operating division of Gannett River States Publishing Corporation, owned by Gannett. History The paper traces its roots to ''The Eastern Clarion,'' founded in Jasper County, Mississippi, in 1837. Later that year, it was sold and moved to Meridian, Mississippi. Jackson State Tigers Football
The Jackson State Tigers football team represents Jackson State University in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). After joining the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in 1958, the program exploded into national prominence. In the 1980s, the program enjoyed its greatest success. Under head coach W. C. Gorden, the Tigers won eight conference championships between 1980 and 1990, including four straight from 1985 to 1988.
