Kevin Allen (director)
Kevin Edward Allen (born 15 September 1959) is an English actor, director, producer and writer. Allen came to prominence with the 1991 BBC film ''On the March with Bobby's Army'', and for writing and directing his debut feature film, '' Twin Town'', in 1997. He directed and co-wrote the film adaptation of Dylan Thomas' "Under Milk Wood", submitted for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2015 Oscars ceremony but not nominated, the Hollywood feature films, '' The Big Tease'' and '' Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London'', and the first series of ITV's ''Benidorm'', along with numerous other films and documentaries. Allen assisted Swansea City Council's 2017 bid to become the 2021 UK City of Culture. He is often cited as a figure in the Cool Cymru era. Gosport
Gosport ( ) is a town and non-metropolitan district with Borough status in the United Kingdom, borough status in Hampshire, England. At the 2021 United Kingdom census, 2021 Census, the town had a population of 70,131 and the district had a population of 81,952. ''Bottom'' is a British sitcom created by Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson that ran for three series on BBC2 from 1991 to 1995. ''Murder Most Horrid'' is a British black comedy anthology series starring Dawn French. It was broadcast on BBC Two for four series runs, in 1991, 1994, 1996 and 1999. Created by Paul Smith, who also co-created ''Colin's Sandwich'' (with Terry Kyan, as noted below) and has written for '' The Brittas Empire'', among other programmes, the series starred French as a different character in each episode. ''French and Saunders'' is a British sketch comedy television series written by and starring comedy duo and namesake Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders that originally broadcast on BBC2 from 1987 to 1993, and later on BBC One until 2017. The Comic Strip are a group of British comedians who came to prominence in the 1980s. They are known for their television series ''The Comic Strip Presents...'', which was labelled as a pioneering example of the alternative comedy scene. ''The Trials of Oz'' is 1991 video-taped BBC television drama shown in the UK on 9 November 1991 as part of BBC 2's ''Performance'' anthology series of single plays. The drama concerns the six-week trial in June and July 1971 of the joint editors of the British underground magazine '' Oz'' in which the three men were prosecuted on three charges, including obscenity, for the 28th issue known as Schoolkids Oz. West Glamorgan () is a former administrative county in South Wales. It is now a preserved county. West Glamorgan was one of the divisions of the ancient county of Glamorgan. Loughor
Loughor (; ) is a town in Swansea, Wales. Historic counties of Wales, Historically in Glamorgan, it lies on the estuary of the River Loughor (). The town has a community (Wales), community council under the name Llwchwr. The town is bordered by the communities of Bynea in Carmarthenshire, Grovesend, Gowerton, and Gorseinon.
