Kevin Abley
Kevin Abley (24 March 1935 – 29 August 2024) was an Australian rules footballer who played in the South Australian National Football League with the Glenelg Football Club. Kevin Abley was born on 24 March 1935, in Box Hill, Victoria, Australia. He came to Adelaide in the early stages of 1950 when he was 15 years of age. He lived with his family which included his brother, Port Adelaide Football Club legend John Abley. The Glenelg Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers or the Bays, is an Australian rules football team which plays in the South Australian National Football League. Their home ground is Stratarama Stadium (formerly Glenelg Oval), located in the southern coastal suburb of Glenelg East, South Australia. John Abley
John Abley (18 October 1930 – 19 August 2011) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Port Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) between 1950 and 1961. Hawthorn reserves (1949) John Abley grew up in Melbourne. During the 1949 VFL season he played reserves football with Hawthorn Football Club but turned his back on a possible career with the club in the seniors when he moved to Adelaide, South Australia.
