Keti Bandar Port
The Port of Keti Bandar () is a minor seaport in the town of Keti Bandar, in the middle of the Indus River delta and near the Arabian Sea, in Thatta District, Sindh province, Pakistan. It is approximately southeast of the much larger Port of Karachi. The port facilities comprise a fishing boat pier and a coast guard base operated by the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency. Overview Keti Bandar was built 46 km west of Shah Bandar because the latter was sinking into the ground and the Indus River had changed direction. Dada Sindhi, the author of ''Sindh Ke Bandar Aur Bazar'' (English: Ports and Streets of Sindh), writes that Shah Bandar was built by Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro, the founder of Hyderabad city. In 1659, trade was carried out through Irung Bandar, which was built by Aurangzeb Alamgir. The traces are still there today. The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE or UNECE) is an intergovernmental organization or a specialized body of the United Nations. The UNECE is one of five regional commissions under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. It was established in 1947 in order to promote economic cooperation and integration among its member states. The commission is composed of 56 member states, most of which are based in Europe, as well as a few outside Europe. The Persian Gulf, sometimes called the Arabian Gulf, is a Mediterranean seas, mediterranean sea in West Asia. Zulfikarabad
Zulfiqarabad (), is a proposed new city in Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan around 150 kilometers south-east from Karachi. Zulfikarabad Development Authority was established in 2010 to establish and operate the city. The same year 60,000 acres (242 square kilometre) of land was identified by the Government of Sindh in Southern Sindh. The proposal further states an establishment of a port in Keti Bandar to be connected to the city. The project is likely to be expanded to 1.32 million acres of land across four talukas of Thatta district, Jati, Shah Bunder, Keti Bunder and Kharo Chan. Authorities plan to reclaim 0.967 million acres of land from the sea. According to IUCN, the project would likely have negative impact of the project on Marho Kotri Wildlife Sanctuary. Mian Nawaz Sharif
Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif (born 25 December 1949) is a Pakistani politician and businessman who served as the 12th prime minister of Pakistan for three non-consecutive terms, first serving from 1990 to 1993, then from 1997 to 1999 and later from 2013 to 2017.
