Keshoraipatan is one of the 200 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Rajasthan state in India. It is part of Bundi district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. As of 2018, it is represented by C. L. Premi Bairwa of the Indian National Congress party. Bundi District
Bundi is a district in the state of Rajasthan in western India. The city of Bundi is the district headquarters. It has an area of 5,550 km2 and a population of 1,110,906 (2011 census). It is divided into 5 tehsils which are: Bundi, Hindoli, Nainwa, Keshoraipatan and Indergarh. Geography Bundi district is located in southeastern Rajasthan, in the region of Hadoti. It borders Tonk district to the north, Bhilwara district to the west, Chittorgarh district to the southwest, and Kota district to the east. The Chambal River marks the southeastern border dividing Bundi and Kota districts. A double range of hills (parallel and close together) crosses Bundi district from northeast to southwest, dividing the district into two almost equal parts. Politics of Rajasthan is mainly dominated by two parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress. The current government in Rajasthan is that of the Bhartiya Janata Party and Bhajan Lal Sharma is the Chief Minister. History Sukhadia-Shekhawat Era Rajasthan's politics has mainly been dominated by the two state stalwarts, namely, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Mohan Lal Sukhadia of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress respectively. 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 7 December 2018. The Indian National Congress became the single largest party with 100 seats, short of the majority by 1 seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats, much lower compared to the previous election, in which it won an absolute majority of 163 seats. The Indian National Congress formed the government with the Bahujan Samaj Party. Background The tenure of the Rajasthan Assembly ended on 20 January 2019. The main political contenders are the Bharatiya Janta Party, BJP, Indian National Congress, INC, Bahujan Samaj Party, BSP and the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, RLP. Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 1 December 2013. Results were announced on 8 December. The incumbent ruling party Indian National Congress, led by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, lost the elections to Vasundhara Raje-led BJP, who was being touted as the next incumbent. Pre-poll surveys Election Polling was held on 1 December in 198 assembly seats out of 200 seats. Churu constituency polling was postponed to 13 December due to death of BSP candidate Jagdish Meghwal. Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) along with EVMs was used in 1 assembly seat in Rajasthan elections. There were 2,087 candidates including 166 women and one eunuch candidate.
