Kerstin Garefrekes
Kerstin Garefrekes (born 4 September 1979) is a German former footballer who played as a striker or midfielder. Club career Garefrekes began her career in 1986 at her local football club Grün-Weiß Steinbeck, before joining DJK Arminia Ibbenbüren. In 1998, she moved to the newly founded Bundesliga side FFC Heike Rheine. Garefrekes was relegated to the second division with Heike Rheine in 1999, but achieved immediate promotion back to the Bundesliga the following season. With 26 goals, she won the 2003–04 Bundesliga top scorer award. In 2004, Garefrekes transferred to 1. FFC Frankfurt, where she claimed several major titles. She won the Bundesliga trophy and the German Cup title three times each. During the 2005–06 and 2007–08 seasons, Garefrekes also won the UEFA Women's Cup at Frankfurt. It was discovered on 1 October 1916, by German astronomer Max Wolf at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory in southwest Germany. The assumed C-type asteroid has a rotation period of 18.7 hours and measures approximately in diameter. Any reference of the origin of the asteroid's name is unknown. Orbit and classification ''Kerstin'' is a non-family asteroid of the main belt's background population when applying the hierarchical clustering method to its proper orbital elements. It orbits the Sun in the outer main-belt at a distance of 2.9–3.6  AU once every 5 years and 10 months (2,127 days; semi-major axis of 3.24 AU). Kerstin (horse)
Kerstin (foaled 1950) was an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and Horse breeding#Terminology, broodmare who won the 1958 Cheltenham Gold Cup. She was imported to England as a young horse and showed early promise by winning over Hurdling (horse race), hurdles as a four year old. She showed improvement when campaigned in Steeplechase (horse racing), steeplechases and won the National Hunt Handicap Chase in 1956. She ran four times in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, finishing second in 1957 before becoming the second mare to win the race in the following year. She was unplaced in the net two Gold Cups but produced an outstanding effort to win the Hennessy Gold Cup under 164 pounds in November 1959. After her retirement from racing she had some success as a broodmare. The Fritzl case was a case that emerged in 2008, when a woman named Elisabeth Fritzl (born 6 April 1966) informed investigators in the city of Amstetten, Lower Austria, that she had been held captive for 24 years by her father, Josef Fritzl (born 9 April 1935). Fritzl had assaulted, sexually abused, and raped his daughter countless times during her imprisonment inside a concealed area in the cellar of the family home. Kerstin Mey (born 1963) is a German academic and president of the University of Limerick. She was the first woman to head a university in Ireland, on an acting basis, and having participated in an international competition, was appointed to the full position with effect from 8 October 2021.
